Constantine II, as Caesar, 316-337. Follis (Silvered bronze, 19 mm, 2.99 g, 12 h), Constantinopolis, 328. CONSTANTINVS IVN NOB C Laureate and cuirassed bust of Constantine II to right. Rev. PROVIDEN-TIAE CAESS / CONS Campgate with two turrets and no doors; above, star; in field to left, Γ. RIC 27. Perfectly centered and with an excellent portrait, a very attractive example. Extremely fine.

From the collection of Dr. L. Ramskold, ex Classical Numismatic Group E-Auction 156, 17 January 2007, 376.

RIC VII puts this 'PROVIDENTIAE CAESS' type for the two Caesars in the second 4-type emission. However, as pointed out by Speck & Huston (1992), it belongs in the emission with 'CONSTANTINIANA DAFNE' for Constantine I.
